Our shop is looking to upgrade from EZCAM to something that can better support the functionality in their new multi-axis machining centers.
The top contenders are: CAMWorks, GibbsCAM, and MasterCAM

Any recommendations? Opinions?
(all prototype work, very thin wall aluminum and magnesium, 5 axis milling center and lathe work, standard shapes/surfaces)

Hi, Grin
Saw many CAM systems at Eastec a few years ago and purchased CamWorks after viewing several.  Found it easy to use and the training was great.  We load into several machine center types.  The post works great.  Works wonderfully inside SolidWorks Smiley

Update:
The UNH SSC shop chose CAMWorks in the end.  After some initial training on a prior version and some minor hardware upgrades for the computers, (more RAM, better video cards) it has turned out very well.
There has not been any trouble taking in models from either of the 2 different CAD systems used, and interface to the new CNC Lathe and multi-axis milling center have been without significant issue.
